Teaching Trust seeks a full-time Data Manager. This position is ideal for someone who has strong technical experience in database and dashboard management, is excited about translating their data visualization skills in a non-profit setting, enjoys working with stakeholders and end-users to achieve results, and wants to work on a fun, dynamic, goal-driven team.

What You'll Take On

Your objective will be to engage data visualizations that clearly communicates our organization's progress and opportunities for growth. You will be the primary support for organizational data needs by building and maintaining our organizational dashboards and databases. Additionally, this role provides an exciting opportunity to train eager learners on Salesforce adminstration and development. This individual will, in turn, be the organizational expert on all Salesforce related workstreams. 

Additionally, you will:

  • Ensure that databases are updated with state education data as it is released
  • Design and create a system for 2-3 key organizational dashboards
  • Help shape and reinforce a data driven culture
  • Perform data-related needs assessments to drive database and dashboard priorities
  • Develop a strategy for the scalability and sustainability of Salesforce based on a needs assessment
  • Create Salesforce reports and dashboards
  • Develop Salesforce documentation and guides/SOP’s  
  • Determine Salesforce end-user responsibilities and implement strategies to increase Salesforce fluency across the organization
  • Interface with internal stakeholders to determine needs and requirements and build data products accordingly
  • Ad-hoc reporting as needed
  • Establish systems to respond to data requests, prioritizing requests appropriately and analyzing future data needs
  • Support data analysis, including data import, data wrangling, and summary statistics
  • Support IT needs of data team, ensuring system administration and IT infrastructure support data priorities

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Strong track record of experience effectively designing and maintaining databases, including architecture and analysis
  • Proven experience and ability to build dashboards from organizational databases
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize in order to meet ongoing deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork skills with ability to build trusting relationships and buy-in to drive results
  • High level of comfort taking and implementing feedback to improve the work
  • Attention to detail
  • Familiarity with Salesforce preferred, but not required (Salesforce training will be provided)
  • Comfort with data import, data wrangling, and summary statistics, preferred
  • High initiative to solve problems effectively and escalate appropriately
  • Passion to work at an organization focused on ameliorating educational inequity
  • Authorization to work in the United States required
